How Sweet Nine Bakeshop Got Its Name...
Sweet Nine Bakeshop was started in 2018 when I was looking for a way to bring in a bit of income while also being at home to raise my daughters.
I had a passion for baking, and a passion for eating cookies.
I named my tiny business Sweet Nine after my daughters were both born on the 9th day of the month. They, along with my husband, are my biggest supporters and my most frequent taste testers.
After lots of Pinterest fails (and wins!), some flat cookies and one wobbly cake- I am proud to say that I am a fully self-taught Baker (with a bit of help from YouTube, of course).
How the Take-And-Bake Cookie Dough Became A thing...
During the 2020 pandemic I began selling take-and-bake cookie dough and the feedback I got was incredible.
People loved the way their house smelled like pure sweetness, and they loved the feeling of being able to pull something out of their own oven and yell “nailed it!”
So, I made the decision to stop baking cakes and cupcakes and focus fully on cookies and cookie dough. Because, after all, you can’t compare that store-bought tube stuff to homemade dough! And- I have the BEST chocolate chip cookies basically in the universe (Yes, the universe, I’m serious).
